I’ve been learning Japanese slowly like a toddler over the past two years, and one thing I haven’t done throughout all of that time, is learning through exposure. Over the latter half of 2024, I finally started to! This included plenty of things, including watching anime, which is something I haven’t done outside of Love Live! since about 2015. So to start, I wanted to look for a slice of life anime, as it would use simpler words, and words more commonly used in day to day conversation. This is NOT the anime for that… 🤭 Oopsies! It’s definitely useful! Way useful! I think… Tho it does use a lot of more complicated or lesser used “normal” words. Regardless, I did watch both seasons, and really enjoyed it even!
Who is this post for? Ideally you’ve watched the series, but I will be explaining things as if you’re only mildly interested in either the show or just me. :3 So you don’t NEED to know what’s going on in the show, you won’t get lost while reading, but it WOULD help give context to things! The show can be a little inappropriate so don’t feel like you have to go watch it before reading if it’s not something you’d be able to handle. Before I get to much of any spoilers, I talk about this inappropriate part as a critique, so you can make your decision to watch the show first after reading that part if you want. Treat it like a content warning. There are minor spoilers there, but actually meaningful spoilers start after you read the word “cosplay” at the end of a paragraph, so you can keep that word in mind! ^^
I know the show is based on a manga, but I have not read that. In this post I may talk about things in the series I don’t know much about due to it being new to the anime, even tho it’s not new to the manga. Keep this in mind if you HAVE read the manga! And don’t tell me abt any spoilers. :p Speaking of spoilers!

I wanted to write out my thoughts on my life and Love Live! and how they’ve complimented each other. I wanna write about my story with the series and how my life has been with and without it. (I also want to write about how much it means to me, but that will come in the future in the form of many other posts dealing with each story, group, or character individually! :3)

Why a whole website?
For a while now, I’ve wanted a website for myself that I can personalize and make my own. The idea of having my online identity be tied directly to me, rather than various accounts on social media, has been increasingly appealing to me! So I’ve spent a lot of December working on this website. Hope this website will serve as a useful hub to find or contact me.
I planned to make more, and to have at least one post under each category, but as a couple of you might know, my mom got injured on our way home on Christmas day, so my time has been spent either helping out at home, or being anxious… 😅 So changes might come in the future instead! And each category will definitely be active! I won’t post all the time, but I’ll occasionally share some things here that don’t fit well elsewhere. If you’re not all that interested in most of what I post about, but you’re for example interested in Love Live!, the category list found at the top of the page will do you wonders! If you’re only interested in specific games or anime I may post about, I’ll do my best to add tags appropriately that you can click on to see more. :3 I fixate on organization quite a bit so I’m sure you’ll find your way around if you want to. But!! As of right now, there’s not much to look at! 🤭 Soon enough tho, I’ll have plenty of things for you to see! Be it just a silly little thought, or a whole essay about some travelling I did! :p
Why “kamira” of all things?
I wanted a name that initially didn’t have any feeling or meaning tied to it. My online nickname isn’t one I want to use forever. So I went through a lot of ideas for names, and landed on that. It’s inspired by my own name, inspirations of mine, anonymity in a way, but it’s also partly inspired by nicknames of people I look up to, and Japanese since I’m learning it! You get it… I won’t ever go by “Kamira” to be clear, definitely because I feel like that’d be weird to do, this is only the name of the website! I hope I don’t give the wrong impression! And yes the little ｶﾐﾗ (kamira) icon I’m currently using uses Miku’s blue for “mi” and Love Live!’s pink for “ra” teehee
